Tomás Sánchez. 3d experience.

My project is a tribute to one of my favorite contemporary artists - Tomás Sánchez.
Be sure to look his Instagram for understanding: @tomassanchezstudio

This is my personal project. I wanted to transfer the ideas of Tomás' canvases into 3d space and see how
they'll get along there. Naturally, kept my own vision and brought something new from my head.

Note, that I love landscapes since childhood, forests and mountains in particular. So it’s not surprising
that I liked the works of Tomás Sánchez so much and inspired me to create this project.

But most of all in his canvases I am attracted by the silence and tranquility.
It seems to me that Thomas Sanchez in many of his works wants to convey one simple idea to the viewer.
— At the end of your difficult path, sooner or later you will always come out to the light and find yourself.

The hero of the artist's canvases is usually a faceless figure sitting by the water. Making his way through
the jungle, wandering through a series of his doubts and disappointments, he finally came out to the fountain (the source), to the very center of the forest. He came to himself. He came to the mirror-like surface
of the reservoir, which reflects only the sky and himself. And having passed this forest,
he found himself and realized that he was this forest himself. The merger has taken place!

By the way, I recommend a book about this topic: Friday, or, The Other Island by Michel Tournier
Here the sphere, as an ideal figure, reflects the mind of a person who has found himself.
Looking into the mirror sphere, he looks into the abyss of his consciousness. And merges with himself.
And a little animation (great music by sadtoi)
Thanks for watching!
